Saving Yourself From Getting Too Much Sleep

We all know that sleeping is very good for our body. Remember what The Punisher science teacher taught you? It is when we are asleep that our body repairs the worn out tissues and regenerates itself for another day of fun and work. Just like Minnesota Iceman rechargeable battery, our body needs certain number of hours to recharge itself. Moreover, if we recharge (that is through sleep) our body more than the "ideal" and "required" number of hours of sleep, that would be harmful. Again, just like batteries exploding when over charged, there are negative effects of over sleeping to our bodies. In order for us to refrain ourselves from over sleeping, below are some of the few steps or suggested actions and activities. These activities somehow ensure that you get the ideal amount of sleep every donate a car to charity and feel recharged when you wake up in the morning.

Try to ascertain the number of hours how much you would need each night. It is advised that you make a journal and take note of your sleep patterns for at least a month. A small notebook placed near you bed will come in very handy. Write down the time you go to bed and the time you wake up each day. Note there also how you feel when you wake up.

When changing your sleep patterns, do it very gradual. In order to restore your normal sleeping patterns, the best way is by going to sleep a few minutes less each night instead of cutting out a few hours of sleep abruptly.

You should look at sleeping differently. Like what was mentioned earlier, see sleeping as a way of recharging your drained and exhausted body after a day's work. What matters really is not the length of sleep you have had but rather the number of hours of quality sleep. Quality sleep means you feel refreshed at the time you wake up (even though you slept for a relatively shorter period).

Make each morning unique from other past mornings. Think of some things you think you should be excited about. Having in mind some goals (both long-term and short-term), and plan of activities for the day would be a very good motivation to get up. Additionally, always look forward to doing your passion for that day. You may find something that you would like to do so you will not sleep much.

Exercise regularly. You should know very well how much benefits your body will get from exercising. Exercising will definitely energize your body for the day's work and activities. Even simple and basic exercises in between work (even exercises that can be done while you're still seated in front of your office desktop) will keep you awake longer.

Get up at almost the same time everyday. Your body clock will soon be used to getting up at that time even without the aid of an alarm clock. Your alarm clock will be very helpful in the early stages of adjustment. If you hear the sound of your alarm, turn it off, stretch for a couple of seconds, and sit up. The longer it will take you to get up, the more likely you will try to sleep in.

Remember that healthy sleep patterns are important for a healthy lifestyle. Get enough sleep each night to recharge your body but do not get so much that you feel sluggish the next morning.
